When you need a sweet treat late at night and just want some chocolate cake! This Low Carb Chocolate Mug Cake is EXACTLY what you need.
If you love a good, moist, chocolate cake with lots of chocolatey flavor, then this is the recipe you want!
Oh, and best of all, it’s a one-serving mug cake so you won’t have extra laying around to tempt you!
It’s been a long time since I’ve had chocolate cake and I have to say this outdoes any memory I have of the regular stuff. I’m thinking this might be my birthday cake this year, because, um…. YUM!!!! I can’t even….
Adjusting the sweetness of our Low Carb Chocolate Mug Cake
I personally like my mug cake on the bitter side and only use 2 Tablespoons of low carb sweetener. If you want it to be a little more sweet simply add more sweetener!
I made this twice before I got it just right. Tough experiment, I admit it. But somebody’s got to do the dirty work, and I happily volunteered!
I think even my little guy would enjoy this if there was any left over for him. But there isn’t. And what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him in this case. So it’ll just be our little secret. Shhhh!!!
Caution with our chocolate mug cake
As tempting as it is to dive into a nice mug of warm chocolate cake, this cake really retains it’s heat. So give this adequate time to cool down. Might be a good idea to stick it in the fridge for a bit before eating.
Bust out your mug and spoon and enjoy this delicious treat after dinner tonight!

Great chocolate mug Cake!!
Will definitely be making this again !!
Thanks
Is it really 680 calories……. thats almost half the amount of food i get for the day!!
To be honest it’s quite a bit of cake and very rich. I personally eat half of it myself and eat the rest the next day. 🙂
Hi! Does this 1 serving really have 32 carbs???!!!! I was so excited to try this on our low carb diet til I saw that. That’s over my whole day’s carb limit 🙁
Stacia – 24 of those carbs are sugar alcohols. If you count total carbs, then this wouldn’t be a good fit for you. But if you count net carbs, then it’s only 4 carbs per serving. Most low carb people don’t count sugar alcohols and reduce for fiber counts.
In the nutrition content it doesn’t list sugar alcohols.
Sugar alcohols is 24! Thanks for that catch. Somehow got deleted.
