Keto friendly and low carb corn dog for the win!
The Best Keto Corn Dog
Hot Dog Cornbread Biscuits are so incredibly easy to make, we can’t go back to old fashion corn dogs. No more sticks, just deliciousness! Soft, buttery flavor (even without the butter!) and slightly salty deliciousness.
Speaking off butter, you’ll notice our recipe uses coconut oil. If you don’t dig the coconut flavor (we personally like the flavor it brings with these, it pairs well with the hot dogs) you however ABSOLUTELY can go for butter instead.
You can either dunk these in our low carb ketchup OR our obsession with barbecue sauce is still here so there is that and it is delicious.
Store and savor your corn dogs
We can’t lie, these hot dog cornbread biscuits don’t last long. But it’s not an issue with the food, it’s an in-demand leftovers issue. They are irresistible and easy to quickly reheat and devour for a quick, satisfying snack. For this reason, they are perfect leftovers for little ones too. They taste good regardless of whether you heat them up or not – and it’s not a huge hassle.
Store your hot dog cornbread biscuits after they completely cool by placing them in the fridge, thoroughly covered or in an air tight container. They will last 3-4 days in the fridge provided you don’t gobble them up before then.
These are not made for freezing to enjoy later. Between the texture of the cornbread and hot dogs and the moisture with both, they won’t survive the thaw process with the same amazing flavor you’re looking for. Make em, eat em and repeat.
Batter up: Keto Corn dog mixture can be a little awkward
Don’t be off-put when your batter looks a little thick. When it comes to these biscuits and we promise it will deliver! If you’ve tried our Keto Cornbread Muffins. These corn dog muffins are actually using the base of that recipe!
This is part of why it’s good to wait until after the batter is in the muffin tin before pressing in your hot dog slices. If you would like to smooth out the top a bit more you definitely could.
The important bit is in just a few minutes after your put your muffin pan into the oven, your house will start to smell like summer and happiness.

HOW MANY NET CARBS A HOT DOG CORNBREAD BISCUIT?
3 Net Carbs a biscuit. We calculated it with this making 7 biscuits so if you make more or less be sure to calculate it properly.
For this recipe and sweetness we added liquid stevia which is zero sugar alcohols. If you want a little extra sweetness an extra drop or two will work well.
However, if you end up wanting to make these without the liquid stevia and/or use another type of sweetener you can change up the type of sugar alcohol you use as well so be sure to check out our low carb conversion chart if you plan to use another type.
