Why we create Low Carb
Lindsay acquired That’s Low Carb?! in 2018. Lindsay is a veteran food blogger and seasoned chef of almost a decade. Her family started this lifestyle after years of having to deal with a family history of blood sugar issues and a husband (also known as ‘R’ here) who is pre-diabetic, low carb eating has become more of their normal.
After countless years of going on and off low carb eating, That’s Low Carb was a way to keep ‘R’ held accountable.. and it has worked. 😉
She noticed that there are many low carb recipes out there that involved a box of something as an ingredient. There are so many FAKE low carb foods out there. For that reason That’s Low Carbs mission is to try to get to as natural as possible when it comes to our ingredients and our recipes.
The two sweeteners we mainly use here are organic, pure, liquid stevia as well as non-GMO Erythritol or Monkfruit.
It’s definitely not a clean eating ingredient. But as with most eating plans, you have to make exceptions and have a little balance. If you use a different type of sweetener, awesome! We have a Low Carb Sweetener Conversion Guide to help convert for that exact reason.
