Sometimes it’s hard to navigate the low carb world. Especially some vegetables suddenly become “not good for you”. This list of low carb vegetables should spread some light on the best ones you can eat on a low carb eating plan.
Eating low carb can get frustrating sometimes. Especially when you know you need veggies but your carbs are almost maxed out for the day and it’s only noon!
But there are some low carb vegetables that can help you stick to your low carb eating plan while still getting fiber and important nutrients.
When I got started eating clean and low carb, the first thing I did was make a list of the lowest carb fruits and vegetables so I would have a better handle on things at the grocery store. And while the fruit list tends to be pretty short in the low carb department, low carb vegetables are pretty abundant.
Below is the list of low carb vegetables. Keep in mind that different varieties of a particular vegetable can have varying amounts of carbs. This is a general overview. So you will still want to check the carb count on the specific vegetables you buy. But this will give you an idea of where to begin, especially when you are new to low carb eating. I promise, it’s not as difficult as it sounds. But it does require you to get to know the foods you are putting in your mouth. But then, that’s always a good idea anyway. Am I right?
