The Best Low Carb Breadcrumbs Substitute – Just 2-Ingredients away.
- Crushed Pork Rinds
- Bacon Bits
I promise, it’s not hard to make either.
All you have to do is crush up the pork rinds by placing them in a zipper-top plastic bag and crushing them with your hand or by rolling a rolling pin over the bag. Then just mix in your other ingredients and that’s it! Easy!
This breading is best on either chicken or light fish such as cod. It’ll keep in the fridge for as long as the bacon bits will last.
Also, be careful which bacon bits you choose. I get the Wellshire brand from Whole Foods (no, I was not paid to say that) because I feel pretty good about the ingredient list.
But the choice is yours, of course! If you’d like to use your own bacon and turn them into bacon bits, see blow.
If you can’t find Bacon Bits around you. Here is an option.
- If you can’t find bacon bits you like.
- You can make your own by making whatever bacon you enjoy most by cooking it thoroughly to make it super crispy and then chopping it into very small pieces.
- Make sure you properly dry the bacon off though
