If you haven’t noticed already, I’m kind of a shrimp lover. I make shrimp often.
You get my point, we are kind of obsessed.
They are such a versatile protein flavor-wise and can be used in many varied dishes.
Making our southwestern shrimp recipe ket friendly.
- If you eat Keto, it’s really easy to add more fats to this lean protein as well.
For this recipe, I went the southwestern route and added some quick and easy seasonings along with a few, freshly chopped ingredients.
Added fresh garlic and red bell peppers give this a bit of crunch while the chili powder and cumin bring that southwestern flavor full circle.
This dish comes together quickly and easily and is basically like making a simple stir-fry.
It’s great on a busy night when you just need something fast.
Dressing our simple recipe up to a full meal.
You can also put this in tacos with a low carb tortilla. It would be delicious topped with some guacamole and even some olives! Yum!

Low Carb Southwestern Shrimp Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp. oil
- 1 lb. cooked shrimp
- 1/2 medium red bell pepper chopped
- 2 medium cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
Instructions
- Saute all ingredients together in a large skillet until the shrimp is warmed through and the peppers are cooked al dente. (Note that you can saute the garlic first if you wish to have it more "well-done". Simple saute the garlic to your liking and then add in everything else.)
- Serve and enjoy!
