Keto Pancakes recipe that is THE BEST to ever have been made in our household! Made with just 6-ingredients this keto pancake mix is so easy to whip together with almond flour. Sunday morning pancakes will become a normal here on out.
I’ve got to admit. Pancakes are my achilles. I can never get enough of them. There is something perfect about a Sunday morning with a plate of pancakes, bacon and keto coffee. Actually, now that fall is fast approaching us I think it’s time to start making our Keto Pumpkin Spice Latte. 😉
We’ve found a way to make these Keto Pancakes at home and they are the easiest thing to whip together with the simplest ingredients. They are as light and fluffy as you can get for delicious keto pancakes.
What 6-Ingredients are in our Keto Pancakes?
- Almond Flour (affiliate link) – now we have found that the TYPE of almond flour does matter. There are some almond flours out there that are a bit more grainy. So just be sure that you have almond flour and not almond meal.. it will create a difference.
- Eggs – This is something that we CANNOT replicate. I’ve placed this in multiple areas of the post but putting it here too to help. We use 4 eggs and works wonderfully for us every single time. My advice is start with 2 eggs and if your batter is still too thick for you add an additional egg or two until it reaches your desired consistency for batter. The batter should be the same consistency of what ‘normal’ batter should be.
- Unsweetened Almond Milk – Now if you don’t normally keep almond milk on hand you can also use heavy cream or coconut milk alternative for another dairy-free alternative.
- Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional but I think it helps with the flavor A LOT)
- Baking Powder
- Oil for cooking – This is where you can use as much or as little as you fat based on what fat goals you need achieve that day. I personally am very liberal with our oil (coconut oil or butter). Note that the fat content goes up quite a bit based on how much oil you use to cooke these. I did however only added about 2 Tablespoons that to the nutrition facts so be sure to calculate that into it based on your needs and what you end up using.
I bet you’ve got all these ingredients laying around though. Get to pancake making! 😉
These are not your typical pancake
It is worth noting that these pancakes are NOT your typical pancake. The batter is a bit different and it does require a little bit of extra finesse too flip and cook them.
We also leave a sweetener and cinnamon as an option but in my experience the syrup really is necessary to get the full PANCAKE EXPERIENCE.
My advice.. eating these plain isn’t very enjoyable to us. Adding butter and syrup makes these FANTASTIC.
They are so absolutely fluffy. The pancakes also have a slight sweetness from the almond flour which I absolutely love, but as I said above you can add a Tablespoon or two of your favorite sweetener. Just be sure to keep that in mind when calculating your net carbs as it will vary.
Also – if you can devour the pancake stack above you will be my hero. They are so filling lol but essentially you are eating high concentration of almond and eggs so I guess I understand why they are so satisfying and filling!
I personally am not a fan of actually making pancakes though. Mainly because there is nothing more annoying than standing at the stovetop flipping pancakes. ESPECIALLY after a long workout. Main reason that I do love Keto French Toast just slightlyyyyyy more. These keto pancakes store perfectly in the refrigerator.
How to store our pancakes
I’ve found that these keep really well a couple days after making them!
Simply store in an airtight container in the refrigerator and microwave on high for 1 minute to enjoy the next day!
Freezing – Now I haven’t had a chance to freeze these. My gut thinks that they might not hold up as well but its always worth a try! Be sure to let us know by commenting below if you have in fact freeze these with success!
HOW MANY NET CARBS PER SERVING FOR KETO PANCAKES
1 Net Carbs per pancake. This will vary depending on how small or large you make your pancakes so just be sure to keep that in mind.
I find these pancakes to be super filling. After a 5 mile run I still can only eat 3 pancakes and I am SO FULL.
We pair it with a couple slices of bacon most of the time but this time the hunger pains were kicking in after a workout and I didn’t have time to cook it up. So low carb berries it is, a large slab of butter (not in the nutrition) and some low carb sugar free syrup for me!

RECIPE NOTE ON THE EGGS: We’ve tested and where we live our ‘large’ eggs are closer to the United States regular eggs. We use 4 eggs and works wonderfully for us. My advice is start with 2 eggs and if your batter is still too thick for you add an additional egg or two until it reaches your desired consistency for batter. The batter should be the same consistency of what ‘normal’ batter should be.

Can you use coconut flour instead of almond flour?
Hi Jamie, You cannot use a direct 1-1 ratio with coconut flour to almond flour as it is SUPER absorbent. I’d recommend 1/4 of what is called for the almond flour to start but can’t say for sure as I haven’t tested it out.
Hi! I plan on having overnight guests Saturday & wanted to make these for brunch the next morning. I’ll be doubling the recipe to feed my crowd & wanted to know if I can make the batter the night before to help make less work for me in the morning?
There are only 2 of us eating low carb…wonder if they’ll notice these are ‘different.’
We’ve made these days before for meal-prepping. They reheat nicely in the microwave. IF you are looking to entertain a crowd this Keto Pancake Casserole is super handy for guests, its my go-to.
I am not sure about the amounts of the recipe. 4 eggs were too much for my mixture? I had to add more almond flover.
We make a mention about this above the recipe card. We’ve realized that ‘Large’ eggs are very different from place to place. Our large eggs where we are at are closer to a small egg in the states. 4 eggs work for our family. But we advise to start with 2 eggs to start for that reason. Hope this helps!
What is considered a “low-carb berry?”
Pretty much ALL the berries out there. Here is a list of low carb fruits (which is mostly berries lol)
What is the carb count per pancake?
The nutrition facts are above the comments. 2 g per.
Allergy to nuts and milk Any suggestion for a good pancake recipe/
what about coconut? Coconut while may be thought as a nut it is actually classified as a fruit and it not a part of the tree-nut family….
Made these pancakes this morning. Used only 2 eggs and 2oz. of cream cheese. I added a little more milk to make it pouring consistency. Used the blender, which was brilliant for mixing and pouring. These pancakes were good! My husband did not know they were low carb. Had them with sausage patties and low carb syrup. Delish! Thank you so much. Killed my craving ?
You’re calculations are wrong. I’m counting 24 NET Carbs from the cup of almond flour alone. This factors in 3g of fiber per quarter cup. Adding 4 eggs and almond milk, even though small, adds to the net carbs, probably another 1.5 or so. If this makes 10 servings then you get over 2.5 NET carbs per pancake. I can eat like 10 of these, but I have to limit of course. Good recipe, I just wanted to point out.
Hi Nick,
I’m using a recipe nutrition calculator and there may be a slightly difference in ingredients and nutritional values. I’ve doubled checked again and thats what I’m coming up with my calculator. We provide nutrition data below is provided as a courtesy. We try to be accurate with this information but as always feel free to make your own calculations using your specific ingredient nutritional values.. I’ll leave this here for anyone else though who wants to follow this nutrition carb count. Glad you liked the recipe though!
So thank you very much for the recipe. I pulled up 1 cup of Almond flour on my carb Manager app and it says 9 carbs per cup. Not sure how those ladies got 24 carbs?
Love the recipe!!
Kathy- Needles, Ca
So glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Net carbs are after you subtract the fiber. I think those who have commented are forgetting to do that. I use the recipe as written but use a little vanilla stevia to sweeten it and I can’t have dairy so I cook them in butter flavored coconut oil. Very yummy – thanks!
I agree. I was excited and made them for breakfast then entered the in my app and was given 2.7 net carbs per serving pancake. What I thought would be a 3 net carb count turned out to be 8 for my breakfast. Big difference when your counting each carb. Just looking at the link for almond flour shows 24net carbs per cup which would be 2.4 net carbs in just the almond flour per pancake.
I made these today. Some plain and some with raspberries. I added a half teaspoon cinnamon to this recipe and loved the flavor. My husband loved them as well. I make 3 inch size pancakes and have two for a meal. I also make larger batches to refrigerate or freeze. They thaw nicely in the refrigerator or microwave. My husband made a breakfast sandwich with these pancakes today. Thank you for a quick and easy recipe.
I dont care for almond milk. Can I use 1% milk?
Yes 100%
We used heavy cream and it was great!
Do you have any recommendations for a maple flavored syrup? Can’t wait to try this recipe. 🙂
There are plenty of sugar-free syrups on the market these days. Stay tuned though as we will be coming out with a homemade low carb maple syrup recipe next week. 🙂
Go to Amazon and get the Lankato Syrup Sugar free maple flavor OMG so good
I made these pancakes for brunch today and they were the best I have tried yet. Also have enough for 2 more meals and not only do they taste great but they look so good. Thank You so much for the wonderful recipe.
GM I WOULD LIKE TOO KNOW WHAT KIND OF SYUP USE ON THE PANCAKES
There are plenty of sugar-free syrups out there on the market. Stay tuned for a homemade syrup recipe that is coming to the blog next week though.
Looking at the recipe I don’t see anything about a sweetener…powder or liquid…do you need it in the recipe?
I personally don’t add any sweetener as with the sugar-free syrup and butter it is enough sweeteness for me. You are more than welcome to add some sweetener if it is something you desire. 🙂
Hi! Great Pancakes! I am a little confused though. Why does the recipe say to spoon 1/4 of the mixture and cook if the recipe should yield 10 pancakes? I only got about 6 aprox 3 inch diameter pancakes from this recipe. I also only used 2 large Canadian eggs. I ate 3/6 pancakes and according to the recipe I had a lot of calories! Thank you
Were they thick pancakes? I can’t really say why you had less pancakes.. some people have reported being able to get 12 pancakes lol while I personally normally get 10 and that is with scrapping the last bits from the bowl. Sorry I can’t be of more help.
I also followed the recipe (2 eggs) and only was able to make 6 pancakes, that’s with scraping the bowl. The pancakes turned out delicious. I ate 3 out of the 6. I’m just afraid of counting my macros based on the 6 pancakes. Eek.
The same here. I used 2 eggs and only got about 5 pancakes using a 1/4 cup measure. They looked about as thick as your picture. They were absolutely delicious, though. I loved them with butter and Lankant syrup. Very satisfying. Great recipe.
What’s a good low carb sugar free syrup?
There are plenty of them on the market (this being one of them (aff link)).
Stay tuned though as a homemade version is coming as it is really easy to make and is coming to the blog next week. 🙂
I buy E.D. SMITH sugar free syrup.. (Diabetic)
These pancakes are the best pancakes I have tried. I loved them! I was really full after 2. I will definitely make these when I am hungry for pancakes. They weren’t eggy tasting, they felt like pancakes in my mouth not like eggs and they held together when I flipped them. I did put 2 oz. of cream cheese in them because it sounded good to me.
Just had them for dinner. My husband and I thought they were amazing! We did add some monk fruit and some pecans. We’ve made a couple of different keto pancake recipes, but the flavor and texture of these were the best! They make thinner pancakes, which I like.
So glad you enjoyed it Melissa! Your family is after my heart a bit as our family also eats pancakes for dinner. 🙂
I love my pancakes and this recipe needs work. I unfortunately have to give it 2.5 stars. With my recommendation it can become a 5 and still be fully keto. Add 15-18 drops of Stevia and half a bar of cream cheese. Make sure the ingredients are mixed in a blender to make the texture of the almond flour less mealy. This will make the pancakes much softer, richer and more enjoyable to eat. They will lose a slight bit of thickness but it’s more than worth the trade-off.
So sorry you didn’t like this recipe as it is a family favorite of ours! Thank you for the input and glad you found a way to make pancakes you like!
I love pancakes! You made my day. Bread, pancakes, a hot dog yum! Your family must be very happy ?
Hi Jane, can I ask how much cream cheese you added in the recipe? Cup-wise?
I am not sure if this works on solid foods, but 8 oz is 1 cup of liquid. Therefore half of the cream cheese may be 1/2 of a cup. It would at least a starting point. I hope this helps.
can u add powders sweetner instead or does it have to be the liquid
You can get away using powder sweetener. However, you may need to add additional cream to reach the desired batter thickness.
I’m not sure how you got 10 pancakes. I followed the same recipe using 4 extra large eggs (U.S.) and Simply Balanced brand almond flour, etc. and only got 7 pancakes.
Really great pancakes though!
We can get 10 pancakes when we SCRAPE the bowl clean lol like every last drop.
