Keto Pancakes recipe that is THE BEST to ever have been made in our household! Made with just 6-ingredients this keto pancake mix is so easy to whip together with almond flour. Sunday morning pancakes will become a normal here on out.
I’ve got to admit. Pancakes are my achilles. I can never get enough of them. There is something perfect about a Sunday morning with a plate of pancakes, bacon and keto coffee. Actually, now that fall is fast approaching us I think it’s time to start making our Keto Pumpkin Spice Latte. 😉
We’ve found a way to make these Keto Pancakes at home and they are the easiest thing to whip together with the simplest ingredients. They are as light and fluffy as you can get for delicious keto pancakes.
What 6-Ingredients are in our Keto Pancakes?
- Almond Flour (affiliate link) – now we have found that the TYPE of almond flour does matter. There are some almond flours out there that are a bit more grainy. So just be sure that you have almond flour and not almond meal.. it will create a difference.
- Eggs – This is something that we CANNOT replicate. I’ve placed this in multiple areas of the post but putting it here too to help. We use 4 eggs and works wonderfully for us every single time. My advice is start with 2 eggs and if your batter is still too thick for you add an additional egg or two until it reaches your desired consistency for batter. The batter should be the same consistency of what ‘normal’ batter should be.
- Unsweetened Almond Milk – Now if you don’t normally keep almond milk on hand you can also use heavy cream or coconut milk alternative for another dairy-free alternative.
- Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional but I think it helps with the flavor A LOT)
- Baking Powder
- Oil for cooking – This is where you can use as much or as little as you fat based on what fat goals you need achieve that day. I personally am very liberal with our oil (coconut oil or butter). Note that the fat content goes up quite a bit based on how much oil you use to cooke these. I did however only added about 2 Tablespoons that to the nutrition facts so be sure to calculate that into it based on your needs and what you end up using.
I bet you’ve got all these ingredients laying around though. Get to pancake making! 😉
These are not your typical pancake
It is worth noting that these pancakes are NOT your typical pancake. The batter is a bit different and it does require a little bit of extra finesse too flip and cook them.
We also leave a sweetener and cinnamon as an option but in my experience the syrup really is necessary to get the full PANCAKE EXPERIENCE.
My advice.. eating these plain isn’t very enjoyable to us. Adding butter and syrup makes these FANTASTIC.
They are so absolutely fluffy. The pancakes also have a slight sweetness from the almond flour which I absolutely love, but as I said above you can add a Tablespoon or two of your favorite sweetener. Just be sure to keep that in mind when calculating your net carbs as it will vary.
Also – if you can devour the pancake stack above you will be my hero. They are so filling lol but essentially you are eating high concentration of almond and eggs so I guess I understand why they are so satisfying and filling!
I personally am not a fan of actually making pancakes though. Mainly because there is nothing more annoying than standing at the stovetop flipping pancakes. ESPECIALLY after a long workout. Main reason that I do love Keto French Toast just slightlyyyyyy more. These keto pancakes store perfectly in the refrigerator.
How to store our pancakes
I’ve found that these keep really well a couple days after making them!
Simply store in an airtight container in the refrigerator and microwave on high for 1 minute to enjoy the next day!
Freezing – Now I haven’t had a chance to freeze these. My gut thinks that they might not hold up as well but its always worth a try! Be sure to let us know by commenting below if you have in fact freeze these with success!
HOW MANY NET CARBS PER SERVING FOR KETO PANCAKES
1 Net Carbs per pancake. This will vary depending on how small or large you make your pancakes so just be sure to keep that in mind.
I find these pancakes to be super filling. After a 5 mile run I still can only eat 3 pancakes and I am SO FULL.
We pair it with a couple slices of bacon most of the time but this time the hunger pains were kicking in after a workout and I didn’t have time to cook it up. So low carb berries it is, a large slab of butter (not in the nutrition) and some low carb sugar free syrup for me!

RECIPE NOTE ON THE EGGS: We’ve tested and where we live our ‘large’ eggs are closer to the United States regular eggs. We use 4 eggs and works wonderfully for us. My advice is start with 2 eggs and if your batter is still too thick for you add an additional egg or two until it reaches your desired consistency for batter. The batter should be the same consistency of what ‘normal’ batter should be.

These were very good for a no carb substitute. I ate them with fresh strawberries.
These pancakes are awesome! I did not have sugarfree syrup, so I made a dipping sauce with
PB fit. So good!!
Lindsay: Your recipe is so easy to prepare and VERY DELICIOUS!! Like others, I adjusted the eggs to (2), added 2 oz. cream cheese for moisture, used buttermilk and Mapleine for better flavor. Overall, I gave your recipe 5 stars for the simple, easy and tasty pancakes that are quick to fix.
They DO FREEZE well and taste wonderful with a pat of butter and drizzle of SF Maple syrup.
Thanks so much for a GREAT recipe that anyone can enjoy!! So glad I found your Pinterest post.
Robyn – Michigan.
Hi Robyn! So glad you enjoyed and thank you for the freezing confirmation! 🙂
Also.. we are originally from Michigan ourselves so just made my day seeing someone from Michigan to comment! 🙂
I’ve read that a cup of Almond flour contains approx. 16 grams of carbos., Therefore how can the pancakes contain just one carbo each ?
You are not calculating for the fiber… perhaps a little bit more info on calculating net carbs might help here. 🙂
Hello, I have a question. I just made these pancakes this morning and I used 2 eggs instead of 4. It only yield 5 pancakes. I measured 1/4 cup to place in the skillet. I’m not sure how to get to 10 pancakes when it wasn’t enough batter
I thinkkkk I figured out what is causing this difference in what people are getting.
1. Eggs – We personally use 4 eggs every single time and am able to get to 10 pancakes. The reason we mention the 2 eggs to begin with is we our recipe tester who where they lived eggs were MUCH larger and 4 eggs of theirs was much to many.. so the eggs might play a small factor depending on how many you use.
2. Almond Flour – so this is where I think the biggest problem is happening.. because it’s bothered us how people are getting such different results LOL. We’ve tried numerous different almond flours and it seems that some are finer than others and that has DEFINITELY has changed the yield amount. Thank you for the reminder though, I need to put this in the post for others to share our results.
Used only 2 eggs, added a little cinnamon but they seem pretty dry ?. Am I missing something? Don’t have sugar free syrup yet so I know that’d help but was hoping to just have them on the go.
I can’t speak what these taste like plain.. it’s not something I’ve ever done lol. Always have a slab of butter and SF syrup ourselves.
These pancakes are the CAT’S PAJAMAS!! So tasty! I used heavy cream and even added 1 tsp of Monk Fruit sweetener, (but not sure I needed the sweetener) and served with Walden Farms sugar-free syrup. I will make these again and again! Thank you!
LOL CATS PAJAMAS!! I’m taking this phrase lol just made my day and so glad you enjoyed the recipe! 🙂
Hi I doubled the recipe And it made 10 big pancakes Are used to eggs heavy cream vanilla and a little almond extract they were very very good next I’m going to try crêpes
WOW, I am really surprised. These taste great. I read many recipes before trying this one. I followed the recipe. However, I only used 3 eggs and I add some cinnamon. I used Walden Farms pancake syrup and that added the sweetness. I will definitely make these again.
Houston Texas
I just made these. Used 3 eggs and my daughter and I ate with sugar free syrup. OMG SO YUMMY.
we can it them all in one breakfast?
If it fits your WOE and macros then of course. For most 1-3 pancakes would be ideal but again it all goes back to what your goals are and your WOE.
Just made these this morning, we used 3 eggs and got 6 regular size pancakes and 1 larger one, I found the flavour great but not the texture or density of the pancakes, not sure how to describe it. Do you think adding a little more baking powder or using some coconut flour would help?
Thanks for your recipe, and my husband didn’t have a problem with the texture, maybe it is just my taste buds!
Hi Wendy! Mmm perhaps. I’m finding some that are sensitive to the texture of these have warmed up to these Keto Cream Cheese Pancakes more. So before messing with the ratio here I’d try that recipe instead. 🙂
Just made it for a try and it came out pretty well, I used sugar free syrup taste delicious, can’t wait to make it again soon.
Fantastic thanks for reporting back Patience! Yeah some people just seem to have a strong aversion to almond flour so happy we’ve found these two ways to making this Keto Pancakes has been a decent solution.
Tried them for the first time this morning. Put a little butter and SF syrup on top and i thought they were delicious. I made the recipe exactly as written. Thanks for the recipe.
Don’t know what I did wrong but these things were terrible I have reread and reread the recipe and I did it just exact
What about it was terrible? Perhaps that can help us diagnose where things went wrong.
Same here. Eventually I just winged it.
My opinion is, don’t use coconut flour. I try and was a disaster. ☹
Oh my gosh I just tried making it with coconut flour too and it was terrible! It has to be the flour!
Yeahhhhh..Coconut flour and almond flour are not the same thing. It will without a doubt turn out terrible if you use coconut flour in a 1-1 ratio with almond flour.
Tried this today. I was almost out of Almond Flour so I used 1/2 c almond flour and 1/2 c cassava flour. I am not Keto, I am Paleo but the two are so similar! I added a little more vanilla (I make my own), used 3 lg eggs and ate it with Organic Pure Maple Syrup. It is one of the sweeteners I can have on Paleo. (Absolutely no artificial sweeteners or agave!!) I cooked it in coconut oil. I put a little too much oil in the pan and discovered that if I added a little something sweet and berries, and shaped it right, I might end up with a donut! (My favorite!) Crispy outside. a little “crumby” on the inside. Thank you for the recipe. I am going to have some fun playing with it. I have subscribed. VERY happy I found you!
How much baking soda?
Can these be eaten daily?
If it works with your WOE and macros I don’t see why not!
Tried these for the first time, I thought they were good. I used three eggs and it yielded 10 pancakes. I also added some blueberries. I also attempted a keto friendly syrup. The syrup and butter on the pancakes will satisfy that pancake craving! The pancake alone was good but the sweetness obviously came from the syrup. I was not disappointed. Thanks for sharing!
Agreed, I personally wouldn’t eat these pancakes plain either. We try to limit the sweeteners when possible so if I have to choose I choose SF syrup EVERRRRY TIME. Anyone can add a bit of sweetener to the pancakes if desired. 🙂
These pancakes were good we used the recipe that is on here, the four eggs were good. I live Texas. So our eggs are big I mean not huge but decent size lol. I tested a little on the pan and they were a little try so I added a little more heaving whipping cream maybe like 1/2 cup in total. I added more vanilla just like a dash. I added one pack of sola sweetener (you can use any artificial one) and I also added a little bit of avocado oil to make them a little more moist. Overall we had three each not too big but not tiny. My boyfriend approved 🙂
Thanks for letting us know! Glad it worked out for you with this changes. 🙂
I will try adding avocado to moisten a little dry but good overall
Thank you so much for this. Unfortunately mine did not have much flavor. The two eggs worked well and they looked like your picture. Next time I will try adding cream cheese, possibly cinnamon or other baking spice. It really was easy.
We add butter and low carb syrup to ours every single time and it is perfect.. If you are eating plain with some berries and without butter and syrup I would definitely recommend adding a low carb sweetener and/or cinnamon to the mix.
